The swallows love to feed on insects caught above the swimming pool and will often drink from the swimming pool- human use of the pool is much to their annoyance! A bit of history

The main house was built in the 1840's and was the main 'Coach House' serving the Chateau in Le Dorat. The two gites were formerly the stables for the horses with access directly from the rear of the Coach House. Gite 1 stabled 4 horses whilst gite 2 stabled 6 horses. The gites still contain original features such the water troughs and tethering rings for the horses. The main house has many original features including the feeding troughs for the horses to feed after pulling the coaches to Le Dorat.
